Preschool and Walking

Yesterday Kennedy started a little preschool 3 days a week from 9-12 and she loved it. She thinks she is a big girl. She came home from school and was so tired.

Brooklyn is now trying to walk. She is taking about 5-6 steps and then falls. I told myself that I was not going to push walking but she has decided that she is going to catch up with Kennedy.

Brooklyn's birthday party is on Saturday and I am getting everything in order. The theme of the party is I Scream for Ice Cream. We are going to have family and friends over for lunch and have water activities. I will post pictures.

Honey Bun Cake

Good morning-
It was a good weekend got to spend time with family and friends. After church yesterday we went over to a couples home for lunch and they had the best cake it was called "Honey Bun Cake". I wanted to share the recipe with you guys.
1 box of yellow cake mix
4 eggs
3/4 c. cooking oil
2/3 c. water
1 c. sour cream
1 c. brown sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon

Mix cake mix, eggs, oil, water and sour cream. In separate bowl mix sugar and cinnamon. Pour half of the batter in a pan, sprinkle half of the sugar mixture over batter and swirl it in. Pouring remain batter in pan and sprinkle sugar mixture in and swirl it in.

Bake in a 9X13 pan at 325 degree F for 40 min. or until cakes test done.


Glaze for cake
4 tbsp milk
2 c. confectioner's sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Combine together and pour over hot cake.

Changes...Changes

Well it is official we will be moving out and are in the process of looking for land so that we can build our dream home. I am so excited but on the other hand very scared. I looked at Kennedy today and told her I am glad that she will not remember all these moves. She has moved from New Bern to Pembroke(Channing's parents home) then from there to Channings brother's rental home and then to my aunts home (they are moving back from the midwest, so they need their home now).

Well now I guess we are on the road again. So should we buy an RV to live in (Ha ha). People tell us you have moved a lot you are professional movers.

I am so blessed to have moved back to Pembroke with family but I really miss all my friends at Pleasant Acres. We are still praying about where the Lord wants us to serve in a local church. I so miss Pleasant Acres but all the memories I had there I will cherish.

Also Brooklyn will be 1 in a few weeks and her party is planned and I am getting so excited but sad also because she is growing up too fast. I will post pictures.

Few statements that makes her so cute....
1. Today we were inside most of the day because it was raining. Kennedy now does not like thunderstorms so when I told her that was Jesus working she told me "on his computer".

2. Went shopping because it is tax free in SC this weekend and I came home and I got her and Channing donuts from the famous "Krispy Kreme" and she said mommy where have you been and I said shopping and she said shopping for donuts.

3. Channing and I have been reading to her with her children's bible so we were talking about the stories that we have been through so far and she loves the story of Zacchaeus and while she was telling me about Zacchaeus she said Daniel (Daniel and the lion's den)also went to Zacchaeus house.

Oh how sweet and innocent she is and I love this stage of her life. She is a very smart girl and I love spending time with her. I thank God for giving her to me and I hope that one day she looks back and says thank you mom for being with me.

Party Planning-I Scream for Ice Cream

Brooklyn will be 1 at the end of the month so I have started working on her birthday party. I have designed her invites and I will mail them soon. This is a copy I had on my computer it has the wrong time but you get the idea. The theme is "I Scream for Ice Cream" and the reason is that she loves ice cream and she has become a screamer in our family. I say that must be a Jone's trait.

Bubbles Everywhere

Kennedy, Brooklyn and I decided to stay at the beach house for a little bit longer. So today we went to the pool and came home and Kennedy wanted a bubble bath. Kennedy and Brooklyn love the water so it is very tough to get them out. I love being at the beach but miss my husband. Hope to see him soon.

Jones Bunch-Beach time

Kennedy, Brooklyn and I have been at the beach house since Monday and we are having a blast. Mrs. Diane (Channing's mom), Channing's Aunt Cat, Melanie her two kids Christian, Cadence and Lic(Melanie's brothers little boy) joined us too. So, our house has been like the brady bunch. Christian is 10, Kennedy is 3, Cadence is 18 months, Lic is 1 and Brooklyn is almost 11 months old. So to be brief our house is none stop. It has been so much fun spending time with family.

Yesterday went to the beach and had a blast the kids love the ocean. Especially Kennedy she loves riding her golf cart that her papa got her. Last night we went to Dixie Stampede and it was so fun. The North side won, if you have never been it is a great dinner show to take the whole family.

Today went to some baby consignment shops and got a whole box of the baby you can read material and a toy block station for the kids to play. The block station has been a hit since I brought it home. I love the shops at the beach.

We are missing daddy and hope to see him soon. Hopefully I will be sane at the end of the week.
