Christmas Gift-Day 5 (12/05/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 5: The gift that the Lord gave me today was to listen.  I have a bad habiat not to listen all the time so I guess that is where my daughter gets it from.(Don't tell Channing I blame him for her hard head ability).

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; James 1:19

Christmas Gift-Day 4 (12/04/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 4: The gift that the Lord gave me today was a smile on Kennedy's face.  Today we went to Bass Pro Shop and Kennedy loved seeing Santa (ho-ho).  This was the first time that she has not been afraid of Santa.  After she took her photo with Santa she said "mommy I took my picture with Santa".  She was so excited to see him and to let him knowshe wanted playdoh and a jump rope.  Oh how sweet that she wanted just two little items.  Channing and I want to share the Christmas story with the girls this year, so every Sunday night we will tell them the true blessing of Christmas.

Also on a side note my mother in law got a Elf on the Shelf and it is a cute idea but we will tell Kennedy the true meaning of Christmas.

Chritmas Gift Day 3: 12/03/2010

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 3: The gift that the Lord gave me today was a nap and a time to rest.  Today was very crazy and it felt like I was in a fog.  First Brooklyn had her 15 month check up and that included those bad shots (4 shots).  Then  I was suppose to meet a friend for lunch and a play date but I totally forgot (I am sorry Synora).  Then this evening my busy life caught up with me so I  laid down and took a 2 hour nap (that is not the norm).  So now we are in the process of going to a Christmas retreat.

Chritmas Gift Day 2: 12/02/2010

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 2: The gift that the Lord gave me today is to move past my devastation and return to obedience. Since the death of my mother in 1998 I have felt devastated at why I lost my mother at such a young age. I did not have my mother at my college graduation, wedding, and the births of my girls. Over the years I felt that God did not know what I was going through. This morning I was reading Psalms 30:1-12 and it pricked my heart to be obedient to God and give him all the glory for the season of life I have been through. I want to surrender all my frustration and honor his glory that he has given me. Jesus truly loves me!!!!  Reading my bible lesson for today with Beth Moore and she quotes it so well:

"Jesus has a hope and a future for me that nothing in my past or present can nullify.”

To conclude Deliverance as it is written in Psalms 30

Psalm 30

1I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
3O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
6And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
7LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
8I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
9What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
11Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Christmas Gift-Day 1 (12/01/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 1:  The gift that the Lord gave me today was the laughter of my healthy little girls.  As a full time mother is gets overwhelming sometime but today I saw how little things like laughter are a gift from the Lord.

A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 30)

Thankful Day 30:  I am thankful for...............Well I need to tell you the background first before I tell you.  I have been a little discontent with the whole situation about moving from a large home to a guest house but then my uncle looked at my and said that "Our Lord and Saviour had no home to lay his head".  So true and this convicted me to humble myself and the situations that I may face because the Lord did everything for me.  He laid his life down for my sins and he has given me a life full of joy and happiness.

I know that everything and every situation is not roses all the time but I have realized that the Lord wants the best for me he is my Shepherd.

I am thankful for the Lord being my Shepherd.

The Lord Is My Shepherd.

A Psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.  He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul.  He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23

This has been a true blessing for me to post something I am thankful for in my life each and every day of November.  I hope that all that read my blog got a blessing out of it because this has truly been a moving experience for me.  May the Lord bless you and your family.  See you in December!!!!!!!!!!!

Thankful in the month of November (Day 29)

Thankful Day 29:  I am thankful for the true, pure love of Jesus.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we [1] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith [2] into this grace in which we stand, and we [3] rejoice [4] in hope of the glory of God. 3 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Romans 5:1-11
