Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair-2010

Channing and I took the girls to the Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair on October 5, 2010.  They had a blast.  Kennedy rode some of the kiddie rides by herself. Brooklyn could only ride the carousel and she had so much fun on it we rode it twice.

Kennedy wanted to play the fishing game.  She caught three fish and won a green dog.

Kennedy on the flying dinos.  She loved it!
 Brooklyn loved her balloon.
Brooklyn enjoying her cotton candy.  Her entire face and mouth was blue.
Kennedy enjoying the cotton candy.

The first booth we attended was the live stock.  Kennedy loves animals so she was so happy to see goats, ducks, donkey, ponies and so much more.  Brooklyn loved looking at all the people and lights.
The girls were getting hungry so we started looking for dinner.  Brooklyn started smelling the good food and started to cry so we knew we needed to find food FAST.  So Channing got pizza, fried chicken, collards, fat back and fried corn bread.  And also a lemonade for the girls.  Before we left Kennedy wanted cotton candy and they had to try it before we even left the parking lot.

I enjoyed the fair as a kid but taking my daughters was so much fun.  I know that they will not remember the fair but I will always remember the smiles on their face.

House Plans

Each week it seems that I have a favorite house plan so that is going to have to stop because all the books and  web pages are taking over my house and computer.  Well today I have decided to narrow my top 5 house plans.  I hope that Channing will like them.  I will post pictures soon.  Also we think we have found land I am so exited.  Let the house planning begin.....

Change of Season-Fall

As fall came into season very fast I knew that I needed to change my daughters closets out and place all their fall and winter clothing in because of the weather change.  Well last night I tried to make this happen.  First I cleared all of Brooklyn's spring and summer times out of her closet and then I went to Kennedy's room and did the same.  Well, much to my surprise it was so easy to do Kennedy's closet.  So I completed the task of cleaning Kennedy's closet out very fast.  So in the mean time I needed to go out to the barn to get Brooklyn's fall clothing (Kennedy's baby clothing) well to make this story short it was very hard because the girls wanted to go out with me but I knew that I could not carry the large container of clothing and watch them at the same time.  My mother in law came over and I retrieved the clothing container from the barn.
So this morning I completed Brooklyn's closet.   As I was arranging all the clothing I could remember every item of clothing and where Kennedy wore it and how times flies and I miss her being a baby.  One outfit in particular I remember all so well it was when Kennedy fell at my friends Tana's house in Ohio.  I know Tana does not want to talk about that one so I will leave that story out.
It is so wonderful that my girls are not only close in age but also that they can share these memories when they get older and also I will tell them all about the wonderful life they have.

For the moms-Triple the Action

This post is for the moms that have babies in diapers......
Last week Brooklyn had a little upset stomach well it made her have a very bad diaper rash(never seen anything like it).  Well I tried the diaper cream I had and it was getting worse.  So I went to WalMart to see if they had anything stronger because I did not want to take her to the Dr unless it got worse.  So I found a diaper cream that was $8.00 I was hesitant in buying because of the cost but after the next day it was going away and as of today it is gone.  Above is a picture of the cream.  I would suggest it to any mom that has little ones in diapers.

Story time-Love You Forever

Today I found a copy of a book the I love and cherish and  I want to share the story on how I got the book:
My mother died in 1998 from a brain aneurysm and she was not able to be at my wedding to give a gift that she always said she wanted to give me.  So my aunts decided to make sure that I got the gift.  So on my wedding day they got my suitcase without me knowing and placed a gift inside it.

So when Channing and I were on our honeymoon I opened up my suit case to unpack and their was a gift for me.  I told Channing thank you and he said that he did not get that for me.  So, I opened the gift and it was a book Title Love You Forever.  I opened the first page and my aunts had wrote a story about how they knew that my mother wanted to give me this book on my wedding day.  I had never read this book, so on my honeymoon I read the book and cried my eyes out and now every time I read it I cry.

I have read it to Kennedy several time but today at story time it was Brooklyn's first time hearing it.  It brings joy to my heart every time I read it and also I cry.

I miss my mother but I know that this little children's book will be a way I can share the love I have for my mother with my girls.  My mother would love to see the girls but she is in a better place with the Lord and that puts peace in my soul.

Papa taught Kennedy how to ride her bike!!!!

While at the beach house Kennedy was wanting to ride her bike.  So I went outside with her to teach her how to ride(with training wheels)  but she was getting so upset she would say "mommy it is not working".  So I told her to have daddy help her.  Well, Papa Randall came down to the beach to visit us at his beach house and they were outside washing the golf cart and she just jumped on and started going and she did not stop.  She was so excited and happy that she had to tell everyone.
After the bike ride her and Papa Randall wen to the local arcade and she played all the fun games and she won tickets.  With her arcade tickets she bracelets.  She was so protective of her bracelets she thought they were gold.

It's Official

Brooklyn is talking and walking.
Here are a few words Brooklyn is saying:  Mama, Dada, Dede(Deacon), bye, bye.
Some cute things she does:  Kennedy loves to play hide-n-seek and when we are counting she now will count 1, 2,3 in baby talk it is so cute.  Also we are always telling Kennedy to share so today she said share.

As a baby Kennedy talked a lot and now Brooklyn is talking a lot.  I think she hears her big sister talking so she is trying to keep up.  I am amazed everyday of the love that they have for each other.  I have to tell Kennedy to be nice to her baby sister many time through out the day but at the end of the night she always wants to kiss and give her a big hug.

I am so blessed to have two beautiful, smart and healthy girls but most of all I thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to be a mommy.  I pray that each day the Lord will guide and strengthen me so that I can walk closer to him so that I may be the Godly wife and mother I desire.  I hope that the Lord will bless my home with more little ones.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. 4As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. 5Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.Psalms 127:3-5
