Christmas Gift-Day 17 (12/17/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 17: The gift that the Lord gave me today is the love of my husband.  He surprised me with a date night.  So tonight we are going to a Christmas social, and tomorrow shopping.  I am so thankful for a Christian husband that loves the Lord and his family.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,

Day 16: The gift that the Lord gave me is to stay close to him for everything.  I have been a little upset about a situation but now I know that all I need is the Lord and he will be with me through it all.  I love the Lord and I want him to be close and I desire to obey him for happiness.

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.  Zephaniah 3:17

Friends I would like for you to pray for a sweet lady Keri Ronk she was admitted to the hospital with illyis(intestine complications).  She is also pregnant and the baby is due in Jan.  So please pray for Keri, Brian, Kenley and the baby in her belly.

Christmas Gift-Day 7 (12/13/2010-12/15/2010)

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 13-15: The gift that the Lord gave me was hearing my little ones sing "Go Tell It on the Mountain".  Kennedy loves to sing and now Brooklyn is trying her best to sing with her.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  Colossians 3:16

Chritmas Gift Day 12: 12/12/2010

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 12: The gift that the Lord gave me was stillness and rest.  I have caught the ugly stomach virus and it has made me lay in the bed since last night.  I can not remember being this sick as an adult.  I have heard the laughter and conversations that Channing and the girls had today and I miss them.

And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14

On a side note Kennedy was invited to sing with the children at Calvary Way for worship service and in the Christmas play.  I was unable to go but I hope someone recorded it!

Chritmas Gift Day 9-11: 12/09/2010-12/11/2010

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 9-11: The gift that the Lord gave me these fews days is the voice of a precious little girl.   I told Channing that Brooklyn has not talked as much as Kennedy did at 15 months.  Well, I was tickled pink when she said "Where's daddy?".  It is so sweet to hear her talk.  Now she is talking up a storm.  She is trying to say everything we say and Kennedy is teach her new words.

All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.  Isaiah 54:13

Chritmas Gift Day 8: 12/0/2010

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 7: The gift that the Lord gave me today was to handle stress.  Kennedy was not feeling well last night and she kept Channing and I up most of the night.  Channing was such a good husbad that he let me go sleep in the girls room and Kennedy stayed with him.  I can not beleive that I am not tired today.  The Lord helped me deal with a sick baby and having patience with all the craziness in the house today.  I am so thankful that she is feeling better today.

Christmas Gift-Day 7 (12/07/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 7: The gift that the Lord gave me today was the joy of giving.  I have been convicted about helping children that are in need at Christmas.  So yesterday I received a face book message from the volunteer coordinator at the Lumbee Tribe Office of NC.  She was looking for people to help provide gifts to children of different ages.  My heart was full of joy to know that this is what I have been wanting to do and my heart was full of peace knowing that 4 little ones will have a good Christmas.  The Lord has blessed me and I want to share those blessings to others.

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  2 Corinthians 9:7

Christmas Gift-Day 6 (12/06/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 6: The gift that the Lord gave me today was the cold breeze in the morning.  This morning it was very cold and it is a beauitful site to see ice on the cars and ground.  We do not get much snow so I know it is winter when it is below 30 degrees and ice has formed on the grass.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Gensis 8:22

Christmas Gift-Day 5 (12/05/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 5: The gift that the Lord gave me today was to listen.  I have a bad habiat not to listen all the time so I guess that is where my daughter gets it from.(Don't tell Channing I blame him for her hard head ability).

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; James 1:19

Christmas Gift-Day 4 (12/04/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 4: The gift that the Lord gave me today was a smile on Kennedy's face.  Today we went to Bass Pro Shop and Kennedy loved seeing Santa (ho-ho).  This was the first time that she has not been afraid of Santa.  After she took her photo with Santa she said "mommy I took my picture with Santa".  She was so excited to see him and to let him knowshe wanted playdoh and a jump rope.  Oh how sweet that she wanted just two little items.  Channing and I want to share the Christmas story with the girls this year, so every Sunday night we will tell them the true blessing of Christmas.

Also on a side note my mother in law got a Elf on the Shelf and it is a cute idea but we will tell Kennedy the true meaning of Christmas.

Chritmas Gift Day 3: 12/03/2010

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 3: The gift that the Lord gave me today was a nap and a time to rest.  Today was very crazy and it felt like I was in a fog.  First Brooklyn had her 15 month check up and that included those bad shots (4 shots).  Then  I was suppose to meet a friend for lunch and a play date but I totally forgot (I am sorry Synora).  Then this evening my busy life caught up with me so I  laid down and took a 2 hour nap (that is not the norm).  So now we are in the process of going to a Christmas retreat.

A little sleep, a little slumber,a little folding of the hands to rest, Proverbs 6:10

Chritmas Gift Day 2: 12/02/2010

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 2: The gift that the Lord gave me today is to move past my devastation and return to obedience. Since the death of my mother in 1998 I have felt devastated at why I lost my mother at such a young age. I did not have my mother at my college graduation, wedding, and the births of my girls. Over the years I felt that God did not know what I was going through. This morning I was reading Psalms 30:1-12 and it pricked my heart to be obedient to God and give him all the glory for the season of life I have been through. I want to surrender all my frustration and honor his glory that he has given me. Jesus truly loves me!!!!  Reading my bible lesson for today with Beth Moore and she quotes it so well:

"Jesus has a hope and a future for me that nothing in my past or present can nullify.”

To conclude Deliverance as it is written in Psalms 30

Psalm 30

1I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
3O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
6And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
7LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
8I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
9What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
11Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Christmas Gift-Day 1 (12/01/2010)

Each day the Lord gives us s gift but sometimes in this fast pace world we do not even realize the blessings he is sharing with us.

So, in the month of December I will post a gift that the Lord has given me. I hope that my post in December will be a blessing to me, my family and friends.

Day 1:  The gift that the Lord gave me today was the laughter of my healthy little girls.  As a full time mother is gets overwhelming sometime but today I saw how little things like laughter are a gift from the Lord.

A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 30)

Thankful Day 30:  I am thankful for...............Well I need to tell you the background first before I tell you.  I have been a little discontent with the whole situation about moving from a large home to a guest house but then my uncle looked at my and said that "Our Lord and Saviour had no home to lay his head".  So true and this convicted me to humble myself and the situations that I may face because the Lord did everything for me.  He laid his life down for my sins and he has given me a life full of joy and happiness.

I know that everything and every situation is not roses all the time but I have realized that the Lord wants the best for me he is my Shepherd.

I am thankful for the Lord being my Shepherd.

The Lord Is My Shepherd.

A Psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.  He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul.  He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23

This has been a true blessing for me to post something I am thankful for in my life each and every day of November.  I hope that all that read my blog got a blessing out of it because this has truly been a moving experience for me.  May the Lord bless you and your family.  See you in December!!!!!!!!!!!

Thankful in the month of November (Day 29)

Thankful Day 29:  I am thankful for the true, pure love of Jesus.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we [1] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith [2] into this grace in which we stand, and we [3] rejoice [4] in hope of the glory of God. 3 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Romans 5:1-11

Thankful Day 28:  I am thankful for a wonderful brother in law.  He is so good to my girls(his nieces).  Channing and I had a good time tonight shopping with him and Julie.

Thankful in the Month of November (Day25-27 )

Thankful Day 25:  I am thankful for a nice meal on Thanksgiving Day.  It has been 12 years since my loving mother went to heaven.  I made on of her dishes chicken-n-pastry.  My mother made her dumplings from scratch the night before Thanksgiving.  I have not been that brave yet!!!(maybe next year)
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Thankful Day 26:  I am thankful for the sunrise. Friday morning I saw the sunrise and it was beautiful.  The sunrise is a gift that the Lord gives us each day and sometime I forget the beauty that is portrays.  To me the sunrise is the glory of the Lord that blankets us to show us his awesome power and glory.

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers;who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; Isaiah 40:22

Thankful Day 27:  I am thankful for trusting in the Lord.  The Lord is the truth that I place my faith in.  Sometimes in life I want something but the Lord does not want me to have it right now so I being to worry and get very impatient at this season of my life I am learning that everything is on the Lords time table not on my sinful task of wanting it now.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Minus One

Kennedy spent this weekend with her Papa Randall and Me ma at the beach.  Mr. Randall had a board retreat so they wanted to take Kennedy so that she could enjoy a few days with them at the beach.  Well, that left little Brooklyn back in Pembroke without her sister and this is what we did:

Friday:  Brooklyn ate chocolate cake and milk for breakfast (I know you think I am crazy but that is all I had we are trying to eat all of the food in the house before our move).  Then she ate corn on the cob for lunch it was her first time eating on the cob :
Saturday:  We went to the homecoming football game at UNC-Pembroke.  It was her first UNCP game and first football game.  Channings's mom gave us great tickets so she loved clapping and stopping with the cheerleaders.  After the game we went and got a Sunkist and pork skins Channing favorite snack.

Sunday   Brooklyn ate mini waffles. We went to Channing's home church they had Pastor Appreciation and Homecoming.  It was very nice and the food was awesome.  Brooklyn ate:  fried chicken, chicken-n-pastry, green beans, corn, corn bread, grapes and more chocolate cake.  Her aunt Judy packed her some banana pudding to go and she ate that when she got home.

We miss Kennedy so much.  Brooklyn is enjoying not having to fight over her toys but she keeps looking for her and I know she will love seeing her when she returns this evening.
It is amazing when you have 2 kids and then you are minus one how lost you feel and that you want them back in your arms.  Me ma bring back Kennedy we miss her.
