Jones Bunch-Beach time

Kennedy, Brooklyn and I have been at the beach house since Monday and we are having a blast. Mrs. Diane (Channing's mom), Channing's Aunt Cat, Melanie her two kids Christian, Cadence and Lic(Melanie's brothers little boy) joined us too. So, our house has been like the brady bunch. Christian is 10, Kennedy is 3, Cadence is 18 months, Lic is 1 and Brooklyn is almost 11 months old. So to be brief our house is none stop. It has been so much fun spending time with family.

Yesterday went to the beach and had a blast the kids love the ocean. Especially Kennedy she loves riding her golf cart that her papa got her. Last night we went to Dixie Stampede and it was so fun. The North side won, if you have never been it is a great dinner show to take the whole family.

Today went to some baby consignment shops and got a whole box of the baby you can read material and a toy block station for the kids to play. The block station has been a hit since I brought it home. I love the shops at the beach.

We are missing daddy and hope to see him soon. Hopefully I will be sane at the end of the week.

Best Deal of the Summer-Priceless

Went to Target yesterday with my dad and sister and I found the best deal. Kennedy has been wanting a slip-n-slide but I did not want to pay full price. So, went by the toy section and found one. I had my sister to scan it and she came back and said Emily it is only $4 dollars. So I bought it and this morning we have played on it so much it has paid for itself.
slip-no-slide -$4
memories with my daughters-priceless
My FaceBook page has pictures if you want to view.
Have a great summer and remember to spend all the time you can with your kids.

Missing Kennedy(Grandparents took her away): Need to be strong!!!!

Last night our family went over to the grandparent's they are remodeling their home and they wanted us to see the progress. We were leaving and they decide to let Kennedy stay for the night. Well it was because she was crying to stay and they do not like it when she cries so Channing and I gave in and let her stay. She loves staying at her grandparents home(she gets away with everything no discipline:)). When Channing, Brooklyn and I got back home it was very quiet. Brooklyn went right to bed and then Channing and I sat in the kitchen and talked without kids yelling in the background(but I missed it!)
We just got some good news that my aunt and uncle are moving back to Pembroke. We currently stay in their home and I love it and will miss it. Channig and I are praying to find some land so that we can build a home. We want to be in the Lords will. I have to remind myself to be encouraged and to not worry about another move and finding land. I told Channing we have moved so much and I am so ready to settle down. Last year when we moved from New Bern to Pembroke I was pregnant and Kennedy was 2 yrs old and it was a very hard moved emotionally and physically but now moving again with two active little ones will be challenging but I guess I am ready for the task.
Please continue to pray for our family.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.-Deuteronomy 31:6

-Side note the flower I mentioned in a previous blog we found it Kennedy had placed it in the bathroom on the potty so she had saved it but it was wilted she was sad but she got over it very fast.

Trying to save a precious flower

Well today has been a great day other than it being 100 degrees outside and my kids have cabin fever. I am not going to complain I love the warm weather. My girls are so funny and Kennedy is a trip. Yesterday we were outside and she picked a flower for me and she wanted me to wear it in my hair so I did. Well, by the afternoon I forgot that I had it in my hair and it fell out. Kennedy found it on the floor and said mommy the flower is bleeding. I said honey that flower is not bleeding it has wilted because it is not in the ground. She said it needs water and I said yes so then she said well we need to put it in water then!!! Well she went to put it in water but now I can not find it. I guess she put it in the toilet and then got flushed. Sorry flower my daughter was trying to save you.

Looking a little situations like this helps me to see the innocence that a child has and that they are so precious and a gift from God. The flower needed water to live and I as a Chrisitain need the living water to live. Jesus is the water that I need and he is my everlasting.

Please read Psalms 127:3-5 Children are a true blessing.

Another great recipe that I want to share is my mother's to "Die for banana pudding": (My mother was a true blessing and I miss her so much). I hope you can make this wonderful desert and share with others.
1 package of cream cheese
1 container of cool whip
6-8 bananas
1 can of eagle brand milk
1 box of vanilla wafers
1.5 cups of milk (organic milk is best)

1. Mix cream cheese, eagle brand milk, cool whip and mix
2. Layer with mixture, bananas, and vanilla wafers
3. Place in the freg. for 5-10 hours
4. Serve cold
5. Enjoy

As I was writing this new blog Kennedy looks at me and says mommy I am a super hero. I said what's your name she said Super hero girl and never fear mommy. How original Kennedy:)

Beach time-Buzz Lightyear and friends

Sorry I have been away for a week so much is going on and I have been so busy. Went to the beach house for a few days with my mother in law and had a blast. The girls love the ocean and the weather was so nice. When we get back home Kennedy wants to go to the ocean everyday. I have to tell her that the ocean is not in our back yard in Pembroke.

Kennedy got her first movie adventure this weekend we took her to see Toy Story 3 and she loved it. She first did not want to go but when I told her she could get popcorn candy and drink she was up for the idea. When we got to the movie theatre she was amazed. Sometimes I think about what she is thinking in her mind , (usually she will tells us) but at the experience she was all smiles. She got a free activity book of Toy Story 3 and she is still holding on to the book like it is gold.

Well, this week has been very busy. I teach online for Pitt Community College and UOP and it keeps me busy when the girls are napping and at night when they are asleep. I love teaching but my main job is to be a Godly wife and mother. My girls keep me on my toes but I would have it no other way!!!

Please continue to pray for our family we have some major decisions to make within a few weeks.

I thought also I would place a great recipe that my family loves:
Chicken Marsala

Items you need:
-chicken breast
-1.5 TBS olive oli
3.5 tbs unsalted butter
1 thin sliced onion
3/4 lbs of mushrooms
1/2 cup of marsala cooking wine
salt, pepper and seasonings of choice

Place oil and 1/2 the amount of butter in a pan with the cut chicken breast. Cook fully and then place in a large bowl off the stove. Leave all the fat, butter in the pan. Saute onions and mushrooms in the pan and stir until the mushrooms are cooked. Add your marsala cooking wine and cook mixutre, stirring, until the Marsala is almost evaporated. Now add the chicken back in the pan with the marsala mixture and cook.

I boil noodles in a pot and cook.

Place noodles in dish and then the chicken marsla over the noodles.

Enjoy!!!

Get set go!!!

Today was great went over to the Witmore's home to play and have a nice lunch. Brooklyn was a trip she was very sleepy but did not want to rest she was worried about what everyone was doing. Came home and thought about starting a blog and now here I am writing this note on my blog space.
Well being in Pembroke now for one year has made me realize that this is home and that we are going to be where the Lord wants us to be. I miss New Bern but this is a new chapter in our life and I desire to stay in the Lords will.

Continue to pray for us!!!
