Thankful in the Month of November (Day 30)

Thankful Day 30:  I am thankful for...............Well I need to tell you the background first before I tell you.  I have been a little discontent with the whole situation about moving from a large home to a guest house but then my uncle looked at my and said that "Our Lord and Saviour had no home to lay his head".  So true and this convicted me to humble myself and the situations that I may face because the Lord did everything for me.  He laid his life down for my sins and he has given me a life full of joy and happiness. 

I know that everything and every situation is not roses all the time but I have realized that the Lord wants the best for me he is my Shepherd.

I am thankful for the Lord being my Shepherd.

This has been a true blessing for me to post something I am thankful for in my life each and every day of November.  I hope that all that read my blog got a blessing out of it because this has truly been a moving experience for me.  May the Lord bless you and your family.  See you in December!!!!!!!!!!!

Thankful in the month of November (Day 29)

Thankful Day 29:  I am thankful for the true, pure love of Jesus. 

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we [1] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith [2] into this grace in which we stand, and we [3] rejoice [4] in hope of the glory of God. 3 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Thankful in the Month of November (Day 28)

Thankful Day 28:  I am thankful for a wonderful brother in law.  He is so good to my girls(his nieces).  Channing and I had a good time tonight shopping with him and Julie. 



Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

Thankful in the Month of November (Day25-27 )

Thankful Day 25:  I am thankful for a nice meal on Thanksgiving Day.  It has been 12 years since my loving mother went to heaven.  I made on of her dishes chicken-n-pastry.  My mother made her dumplings from scratch the night before Thanksgiving.  I have not been that brave yet!!!(maybe next year)

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Thankful Day 26:  I am thankful for the sunrise. Friday morning I saw the sunrise and it was beautiful.  The sunrise is a gift that the Lord gives us each day and sometime I forget the beauty that is portrays.  To me the sunrise is the glory of the Lord that blankets us to show us his awesome power and glory.

 

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth,and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers;who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; Isaiah 40:22

 

 

 

Thankful Day 27:  I am thankful for trusting in the Lord.  The Lord is the truth that I place my faith in.  Sometimes in life I want something but the Lord does not want me to have it right now so I being to worry and get very impatient at this season of my life I am learning that everything is on the Lords time table not on my sinful task of wanting it now.

 

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5



Thankful in the Month of November (Day24 )

Thankful Day 24:  I am thankful for Christian music.  I love the two radio stations we have in Robeson County that plays wonderful Christian music and Focus on the Family 100.9 and 105.7. 

Also I want to share a book that I will be adding to my collection.  Yesterday I heard Susie Larson on Focus on the Family and she was so encouraging and uplifting to moms.  I would encourage you to add this book to your mommy collection.

This is the description of the book:  In Growing Grateful Kids, Susie Larson shows parents how to instill the virtues of thankfulness, gratefulness, and patience in their children. Using anecdotes, simple language, and biblical applications, she teaches moms and dads importance of emphasizing virtue over materialism. Paperback.

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 23)

Thankful Day 23:  I am thankful for a good babysitter that loves the girls.  It is hard to find a good babysitter that wants to spend time with a 3 year old and 1 year old.  Thank you Lindsey you are a true blessing and the girls love you!!!!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Galatians 5:22



Thankful in the Month of November (Day 22)

Thankful Day 22:  I am thankful for a wonderful sister.  Last night she brought me a beautiful wreath to place on my front door.  I am so glad that I have a sister to love and that she loves me!!!

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, Philippians 1:3

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 21)

Thankful Day 21:  I am thankful for the sunshine.  It is a beautiful day that the Lord has made.  My girls played outside after church and it was a true blessing to see them smile.  I love the weather. 

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 20)

Thankful Day 20:  I am thankful for nap time.  With the move to our new little house.  The girls need their rest and so does mommy and daddy.

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 19)

Thankful Day 19:  I am thankful for the smiles on my girls face.  Today we were dancing in our new little house (Channings's parents guest house) and we had so much fun laughing and dancing to the Elmo song.

Thankful Day 18:  I am thankful for technology and having the infrastructure to be on the Internet to teach my classes, read my emails and Skye with friends.

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 17)

Thankful Day 17:  I am thank for the peace that the Lord gives me when this world is going bad. 

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 16)

Thankful Day 16:  I am thankful for having sisters in Christ.  I meet most of these ladies when Channing and I moved to New Bern, NC.  We attended and grew in the Lord at Pleasant Acres FreeWill Baptist Church.  Had a great time this past weekend at the East Coast Ladies Retreat at Gateway FreeWill Baptist Church.  Miss you and love you!!!
Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:25

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 15)

Thankful Day 15:  I am thankful for having a little baby that wanted to be rocked last night.  My little Brooklyn has a little cold and last night she did not sleep well so I was able to hold and rock her.  These moments I cherish.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.  Psalm 127:3

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 12-14)

Thankful Day 12:  I am thankful for a wonderful home to live in.  We are staying with Channing's family and it is a blessing.

Thankful in the Month of November (Day 11)

Thankful Day 11: I am thankful for good friends. Thank you Aunt Florita, girls, Beverly Lowry, all her little fellows, Allison and Doug and all the others that helped today with the big move.

Thankful Day 10: I am thankful for good health.

Thankful Day 9: I am thankful for learning to have patience.

Thankful Day 7: I am thankful for my parents. My precious mother is in heaven and my father I cherish and love.

Thankful Day 4 : I am thankful for the Bible and that it is a light that helps me in the darkness.

Thankful Day 3:  I am thankful from by two little girls Kennedy and Brooklyn.
